Regina Michalke was admitted to the bar in 1980; right from the start she - like all her partners - specialized in criminal law. Her practice areas include white-collar criminal law, criminal tax law, environmental criminal law, medical and pharmaceutical criminal law.
She defends clients nationwide in criminal and administrative offense proceedings and advises on corporate compliance, money laundering prevention and the law of investigation committees.
Awarded by Handelsblatt “Best Lawyers 2025”, by “Chambers Germany 2025", by "Best Lawyers 2025" and by "Lexology - Germany Business Crime Defence 2025".
In 2025, she was awarded the prestigious Max Alsberg Prize by the German Criminal Defence Lawyers Association.
She has become well known in the legal profession due to her numerous publications in the field of criminal law; widely acclaimed is her standard text on environmental criminal law, "Umweltstrafsachen", now published in 2022 in the 3rd edition (by C.F.Müller, Heidelberg).
Regina Michalke is a member and vice-president of the Executive Board of the Frankfurt Bar Association. She is also a member of the Committee on Human Rights of the Bundesrechtsanwaltskammer (German Federal Bar) and of the Committee of Security Law Committee of the Deutsche AnwaltVerein (German Lawyer´s Association).
From 1995 to 2009, Regina Michalke was chairperson of the "Deutsche Strafverteidiger e.V." (Society of German Defense Counsels).
She acts as an ombudsperson for whistleblowers in the framework of Complaince for two large industrial companies.
